{"id":22937,"date":"2024-07-29T10:54:57","date_gmt":"2024-07-29T10:54:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/infolight.ua\/2024\/07\/29\/terrorist-attack-in-olenivka-sbu-serves-notice-of-suspicion-to-colony-leaders-involved-in-deaths-of-ukrainian-prisoners\/"},"modified":"2024-08-20T21:08:33","modified_gmt":"2024-08-20T21:08:33","slug":"terrorist-attack-in-olenivka-sbu-serves-notice-of-suspicion-to-colony-leaders-involved-in-deaths-of-ukrainian-prisoners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infolight.ua\/en\/2024\/07\/29\/terrorist-attack-in-olenivka-sbu-serves-notice-of-suspicion-to-colony-leaders-involved-in-deaths-of-ukrainian-prisoners\/","title":{"rendered":"Terrorist attack in Olenivka: SBU serves notice of suspicion to colony leaders involved in deaths of Ukrainian prisoners"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The SBU <a href=\"https:\/\/ssu.gov.ua\/novyny\/sbu-povidomyla-pro-pidozru-eksochilnykam-olenivskoi-kolonii-yaki-prychetni-do-zahybeli-polonenykh-ukrainskykh-zakhysnykiv\">has served suspicion notices to<\/a> the former leaders ofthe &#8220;Olenivska colony&#8221; who were involved in the deaths of captured Ukrainian defenders.<\/p>\n\n<p>The suspects are involved in the mass murder of Ukrainian prisoners of war in the temporarily occupied part of the Donetsk region in July 2022.<\/p>\n\n<p>We are talking about the collaborator Serhiy Yevsyukov, the former head of the so-called&#8221;Volnovakha colony of the DPR&#8221; in the village of Olenivka and his former first deputy, collaborator Dmytro Neyolov.<\/p>\n\n<p>According to the investigation, both defendants were in&#8221;positions&#8221;, when, on the night of July 29 , the Russians set off explosions on the territory of the occupation prison. At least 50 Ukrainian servicemen in the prison were killed as a result of the shelling. Nine of them died because they were not provided with emergency medical care. Almost 150 were injured.   <\/p>\n\n<p>Both defendants were aware of the consequences of the explosions and the number of victims, but deliberately delayed the evacuation of the wounded to medical facilities.<\/p>\n\n<p>Based on the evidence collected , SBU investigators served Yevsyukov and Neyolov suspicion notices under part. 2 Art. 28 ta ch. 2 Art. 438 (cruel treatment of prisoners of war combined with premeditated murder, committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n<p>In November 2022 , the occupiers&#8221;replaced &#8221; both defendants intheir positions.
