{"id":22965,"date":"2024-05-31T10:55:04","date_gmt":"2024-05-31T10:55:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/infolight.ua\/2024\/05\/31\/after-a-long-break-another-exchange-of-prisoners-took-place-75-ukrainian-defenders-and-civilians-were-released-from-enemy-captivity\/"},"modified":"2024-08-20T21:23:29","modified_gmt":"2024-08-20T21:23:29","slug":"after-a-long-break-another-exchange-of-prisoners-took-place-75-ukrainian-defenders-and-civilians-were-released-from-enemy-captivity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infolight.ua\/en\/2024\/05\/31\/after-a-long-break-another-exchange-of-prisoners-took-place-75-ukrainian-defenders-and-civilians-were-released-from-enemy-captivity\/","title":{"rendered":"After a long break, another exchange of prisoners took place: 75 Ukrainian defenders and civilians were released from enemy captivity"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Thanks to the efforts of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/Koord_shtab_zahid\/532\">of the Coordination Center for the Treatment of Prisoners of War<\/a><\/strong>on behalf of the President of Ukraine, the long-awaited exchange of prisoners of war took place for the first time since February this year.<\/p>\n\n<p>Today, 75 Ukrainian defenders, as well as Ukrainian civilians, are returning to their families.\nAmong the rescued Defenders are 70 men and five women, six officers and 65 privates and non-commissioned officers.\nAt least a third of the rescued soldiers have been injured, seriously ill or disabled.  <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/conservative.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/photo_2024-05-31_13-30-03-2-1200x675.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-68205\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>This time, 37 members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were released from captivity, including 13 members of the Navy and two members of the Air Force.\nAlso, 21 National Guardsmen were released from captivity.\nSeven border guards, six terrorists and four Ukrainian civilians are returning home.  <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/conservative.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/photo_2024-05-31_13-30-03-3-1200x675.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-68206\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>We managed to bring back 19 defenders of Zmiyiny Island, 14 servicemen who guarded the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, and ten defenders of Mariupol.\nUkrainians captured in the Kharkiv, Kyiv, Kherson, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Sumy sectors are returning home. <\/p>\n\n<p>Today&#8217;s exchange is the 52nd since the beginning of Russia&#8217;s full-scale invasion.\nAs of today, 3210 Ukrainian defenders have been released from the occupiers&#8217;
