The Ukrainian Veterans Foundation invites veterans, military personnel and their families to attend a free training course called Python Fundamentals. The training is being launched as part of the global EmpowerU program by IT company SoftServe.

The Ukrainian Veterans’ Fund of the Ministry of Veterans, the VETERANKA movement, the recruitment platform Lobby X, and Piraeus Bank joined the initiative.
The course will start on June 24 and last for 8 weeks. During this time, participants will learn the basics of programming in Python, one of the most popular programming languages in the world. After the course, 20 graduates with the best performance will receive grants of UAH 10,000 from Piraeus Bank for further education in IT.
In the course program, participants will learn how to work with basic Python constructs, Git version control systems, create web applications with Flask, master the basics of object-oriented programming, and much more. This will allow future specialists to lay a solid foundation for further development in the areas of web development and Data Science.
The course is based on years of experience at SoftServe Academy and provides access to additional learning resources, a community of like-minded people, flexible skills development, and support from mentors.
Lectures will be delivered online by experienced SoftServe mentors twice a week – on Tuesday and Friday from 18:00 to 20:00. They will cover the theoretical basics, as well as analyze practical work and assign homework. Classes will also be available on record.

The number of places on the course is limited, so after registration, you will need to complete a short test to test your knowledge of basic programming concepts, as well as create a Discord account.
